About your Job:: As a Driver, you will transport and deliver stocks and staff to and from various QDF locations. When required they need to assist storekeepers in unloading goods from containers, arranging the stock picking locations and in doing timely stock delivery to various shop locations. It involves continuous physical movements. Work load also shall include any other jobs as required for the warehouse operations as indicated by warehouse officer and supervisors on a time to time basis. Accountabilities: • Safe and legal operation of a commercial motor vehicle.
• Safe and timely delivery of stocks from warehouse to QDF locations and vice versa. • Operate controls for loading and unloading of stocks. • Professional representation of the company through responsible driving and appearance. • Perform daily safety and maintenance checks. • Clean QDF Warehouse vehicles as scheduled and / or required.
• Ensure vehicles are safely and securely stored. • Ensure that all the necessary documentation regarding vehicle operation in airport environment is available. About You:: To be successful in this role, you will ideally have a High School Qualification (e.g. O level, Year 10, min compulsory education). Proficiency in written and spoken English. You will have a minimum of 2 years of job-related experience required.
To be successful in this role you will need to have the following qualifications and skills: • Must be able to read and write English. Knowledge of Arabic language is preferable. • Must possess a valid Qatari Light Vehicle driving license. Heavy vehicle license is advantage.
• Must be able to pass the AVOP course mandatory for driving inside the airport within 2 months of joining the company. • Must have working knowledge of vehicle safety and control systems. • Must be able to see signs and signals without using eye glasses. • Knowledge of truck and equipment safety. • Knowledge of basic log book keeping.
